Our pilots were runners-up in the Austrian championships , winners of the world's toughest balloon race - the BP Alpine Trophy - second-place finishers in the Gordon Bennet Balloon Race, and have several hundred hours of balloon flight-time under their belts. The ballooning adventure lasts about 1 1/2 hours - the whole experience a half day. We take off from St. Wolfgang, or for groups of five or more, from anywhere in Austria. We'll brief you on weather conditions and the specific take-off point on the day prior to the flight. On the appointed day, we'll shuttle you by car to the take-off point we've agreed on, where, before you float off into the skies, you'll work with your crew to ready the balloon - this is as much a part of our program as the traditional balloonist's initiation, at which an appropriate aristocratic title is awarded ("Baron Helmut, the stouthearted balloonist of Wolfgangsee", for example).
